Studienbereiche

Kommentar/Beschreibung

The first part of this course introduces the basics of image processing, such as
image acquisition, cameras, image representation, linear and nonlinear filtering,
Fourier transform, image reconstruction and restauration, color and compression.

The second part is on machine vision techniques, such as segmentation, interest
point detection, feature extraction and classification, Hough transform and
morphological filtering.
A focus is on object recognition, starting with basic techniques such as eigen-
representations and template matching up to state of the art methods such as the
Viola-Jones approach, SIFT and SURF.
